The '''2388 Da Kaicede''' was the third season of the competition, since its formation in 2386. The 2388 edition consisted of an entirely new format, adding a second level to the Ahitereiran Katabola pyramid. A [[2388 AK Cup|pre-season cup]] between the bottom 8 from the [[2387 Da Kaicede|2387 league]] and the 22 newly invited teams would be what would be implemented as a means to decide who would be in the second level of the pyramid and who would get to stay in the first, this Cup would later evolve into the yearly [[AK Cup|Ahitereira da Kaicede Cup]].
