The '''2455 Jimaria general election''' took place in [[Jimaria]] in July 2455 to elect the [[parliament of Jimaria]] and subsequently [[prime minister of Jimaria]], alongside the [[president of Jimaria]]. The election saw the [[Jimarian United Front]] become the largest party in parliament, and win the presidency from the [[Federal Party (Jimaria)|Federal party]]. The presidential campaign was fierce, with incumbent president [[Ulmar Cerend]] fighting incumbent prime minister [[Nuray Tsarok]] of the JUF. Despite winning, the JUF fell short 53 seats of a majority, only gaining one seat since the last elections. The Federal party was the only party to lose seats, losing five. Overall, the dynamics of parliament remained nearly unchanged, though the change in the presidency marked a notable shift in Jimarian Politics. Following his election as president, Tsarok left the prime ministership vacant. His good dwarven friend Arhok Ulgrim went on to win an internal party contest with good public support. Cerend, before his defeat, had been president when the constitution was reformed after colonial rule ended in 2448.
