Ahitereiran (Ahitereirano or AHITEREIRANU [ahitɛɾeiɾanu]) is Anternian language, originating in the Gulf of Kloresa. It is an official language of the High Kingdoms of Alaxia and previously Ahitereira and Illuaq. It has approximately 260 million speakers, with the majority learning it as a second language.

Phonology

Consonants

The ancient Anternian system of consonants is still seen in the phonology of modern day Ahitereiran with the usage of /m/, /n/, /b/, /p/, /d/, /t/, /k/, /f/, /z/,/l/ ,/s/ and /r/, but also sees the various influences from the surrounding regions, such as /x/ from the Kentronik regions, the /ɲ/ from the native Kloresans and the /h/ and /ɾ/ from the Empherian peoples. With the other sounds developing naturally the language.

Ahitereiran has one of the richest vowel phonologies of all Anter languages, having both oral and nasal vowels, diphthongs, and triphthongs. A phonemic distinction is made between close-mid vowels /e o/ and the open-mid vowels /ɛ ɔ/, though there is a certain amount of vowel alternation.
