The Basalites, also known as the People of the Rock are a large and powerful species who reside deep within Magma Chambers within Oikia. While often sporting a rock like humanoid form, they can have many other forms; some are tiny, some are tall, and some are gargantuan and filling caverns. Although covered by many course layer of slag and basalt, a rich metallic core is embedded within the Centre of the Basalite, serving as the focal point of the consciousness of the being. Due to the preference for hot temperatures to maintain a rich layer of rock around this core, they are rarely seen by humanity. They prefer to live with their own kind deep underground. The Basalites are a relatively peaceful species, with an inclination towards music, learning, and the arts. |
