Because the first election was held without any idea of who the main parties were and what people wanted, prime minister Marnstricht believed that party support was too spread out, hence the hung parliament. Personally, he believed that like [[Empherias]], the people would naturally default to a two party system, and therefore he wanted to hold a new election early. Privately, he wanted to get rid of the Liberals and bring in a major left-wing party or single party majority.

The results saw no major changes, mainly because not much had happened. Factors attributing to the very small –0.81 swing from PS to VV may have been people becoming sick of Marnstricht believing this snap election was a power grab– although the term would expire by the end of 2451 anyway. Although, the only seat change was the nationalist VNEG losing a seat to the VV, which could suggest the Liberals were able to win votes from the right. The Socialists and Liberals reform the 2449–2451 PS–VV coalition and re-elected Peter Marnstricht to be prime minister with 56 seats, a majority of 10. The KC (Conservatives) formed the opposition.

However, the PSP wanted to pass new reforms and so looked towards other parties to make a left-wing agenda possible. They would enter coalition with the Evergreens (5), Alliance (6), and Sistynsfell (3) to reach 52 seats, a majority of just 2, with the hopes that the DLP (5) would help them in most votes without requiring official coalition concessions. The official opposition was led by the Liberals (23). The coalition of PSP–EV–AL–SF with DLP s&c would re-elect Benjamin Haavista as prime minister.

The October 2451 Grensalbourg general election was held on 12 October 2451 to elect 100 members to the Grensalbourg legislature using the D'hondt method of proportional representation with a 2% minimum threshold. The results saw a continuation of the current PS–VV coalition government.

Peter Marnstricht resigned as prime minister after 5 years in office on 1 June 2451. His official statement was that he had failed to make any meaningful changes to the seat count, even losing voters, and that after 3 years being unelected, he thought he wasn't cut out enough for the role. Benjamin Haavista, the first half-Empheri half-Palak leader of Grensalbourg in history, became the new PS leader and thus the new prime minister midterm. To re-affirm his mandate, he called an early October election.
