The Vernikian Warlord Era

The First Warlord Era was a devestating conflict over the succesion of Vernikia that lasted between 878-886 XY. After Angelos the Great resgined from leadership due to a popular demand by the nobles and they would establish a republic, however the republic would crumble quickly as the new leadership was even more corrupt than Angelos and the implementations of bad policies. after this the Warlord era would start resulting in over 100,000 Deaths Which was around 12% of the Vernikian population at that time.

Western Frontier

Ipadenums forces immeaditily attacked the small forces of Xannigas Army and nearly capitulate them in the first year of the war, After Ipadenums was done with his attacks on Xanniga he attacked the Area of Pindodaemos and manage to push him a bit. Shortly before Arsames would fall Ipadenums captured the capital of Xannigas army however his gains in the west were regained back by Pindodaemos. Before Achilles campaign to Ipadenums forces Ipadenum Himself had been poisoned, this would leave his army in disray and lower the morale of the soldiers and their new leader too. At the late point of the civil war Angelos army was pretty much too powerful and Ipadenums army would get smashed quicker if it wasnt for Platiponas. In the end the Tricalian Islands would surrender to Achilleos.

Eastern and Angelos Frontier.

One the eastern part of the civil war Angelos army would march through the centre of Arsames land to split them in two. He succeeds and later encircles a large part of his army which he kills too. Aggelos at last would face Arsames forces in the capital and capture the city easily bringing an end to Arsames Faction in just two years, Many soldiers of Arsames faction were conscripted in angelos army too. After Arsames forces were defeated Achileos the son of Angelo was ordered to launch a campaign in Ipadenums forces. Achileos Decisively smashed Ipadenums army in just three battles and forced him to surrender too. Angelos forces would finally arrive to capture Vergina however he would get defeated by general Platiponas for the first time in history this would be shocking news for everyone. In the next month angelos retried and was successful and captured their capital alongside platiponas however it was again challenging for him, due to respect he allowed Platiponas to live but only if he went to live somewhere rural. In suprise angelos lost the next battle again. He finally realized that he became old and stopped being a really good tactician like when he was in his 30s. There would be some more battles but at this point there was hardly any opposition and so Angelos and Achilleos smashed any opposition.
