Season 12 Edit

This season was one of the shortest in the season's history, only being longer than the first season. Thirty-two episodes were commissioned, but only eighteen were released due to industrial action, pay disputes, etc, that resulted in all three remaining cast members: the Third Professor, Kingsley, and newcomer Amy (in the first serial), leaving the show in the final serial. Due to the previous season overlapping into 2464, the production took a long break and aired later than usual.

Season 13 Edit

After bad reviews, negative backlash, the shortened season, and fatigue from executive producers, no new season was commissioned for 2465 or 2466 to give the series 'a break'. Tom B. Atkinson, who played the Professor as his fourth regeneration in the second part of the final serial of season 12 petitioned for the series to return. The HKBC finally commissioned four new episodes, one serial, to air over June 2467. New companion Lucy was introduced. Following it's great success, HKBC commissioned a further eight episodes to air in 2467, and another eight to air in early 2468.

Season 14 - 20th Anniversary Specials Edit

Following the previous season, the series was put on hold for a hold once again. It was officially cancelled in house in December 2469 but this was not revealed to the public. In 2472, for the 20th anniversary, two serials were commissioned of four parts each. They were released as the official final episodes of the series. Tom B. Atkinson and Lucy Hopkins returned. Emmelie-Louise Waters, a series founder, returned to write the final serial.
