The 2449 Grensalbourg general election was held on 1 January 2449 to elect 100 members to the Grensalbourg legislature using the D'hondt method of proportional representation with a 2% minimum threshold. This was the first democratic election held because Grensalbourg had been a diarchal dictatorship since its founding in 2428, but recent constitutional reforms had created a newly elected legislature and prime minister.

Incumbent provisional prime minister Peter Marnstricht, who had been one of the two rulers of the state since 2446, led the People's Socialist Party to win the most seats. The party is a sister organisation to the party of the same name in Empherias, which helped with funding the campaign. The Liberal Party, another Empheri-led party won the second largest amount of seats at 21. The two parties chose to enter in a coalition of 55 seats, a majority of 8, as any other coalition would require a nationalist party or multiple parties. Marnstricht was elected prime minister.

The largest nationalist party was the VNEG winning 7 seats, and fellow Empheri nationalist parties the FLP and DLP won another combined 10 seats. Palak nationalist parties such as the Mutaarist party and PENP won a combined 5 seats.
