The supply and demand agreement was established following the 2519 general election in Empherias which saw the Liberal party, the largest party in parliament, under Prime Minister Valorie Metz agree with the Nationalist and Alliance parties on a parliamentary deal to stop gridlock during the hung parliament and pass moderate laws without endless debate in return for key cabinet positions in the government and concessions on policy. The agreement was renewed following the 2524 general election where all three parties maintained similar seat counts. Notably, the Leader of the Nationalist Party and former Prime Minister Spencer Wright became the Deputy Prime Minister.
