Alsara, officially the Republic of Alsara, is a developed country on Oikia. It is bordered by Vernikia to the north, Bronzefeld to the west, Zeztecan to the south, and Palsh-Vernikia to the east.

History[edit | edit source]

Early history[edit | edit source]

Before the Katahrians were civilized and the 7th Vernikian Ranger Regiment arrived at Alsara, the Katahrian people lived in peace. The Katahrians, being nomadic, would always move to different places, with some creating small communities along the rivers. Many created and used neolithic-style tools for farming and hunting.

The Katahrian Renaissance[edit | edit source]

The Katahrian Renaissance was the era that started with the arrival of the Prophet Markus Camilson. His mission was to travel to the Alsaran Penisula and convert the locals to Vermanism. However, he grew attached to the place, and resided there for the rest of his life. Markus Camilson travelled to many places throughout Alsara, and taught the locals how to use copper tools and more advanced farming and building techniques. After his death, many Alsaran communities built a temple to honor him, where they laid his tomb. As time progressed, the first Alsaran nation, Narkhata, co-existed peacefully with Vernikia, trading for several centuries before joining Occidonis.

Early Alsara[edit | edit source]

The 7th Vernikian Ranger Regiment arrived in Alsara in 2283 XY to start a new life. Under the leadership of Chief Ranger Volk Drowmer, a Katahrian, he would establish the Vernikian Desert Rangers of Alsaran in 2296 XY. He also established the capital of Maccaran. Being the largest Alsaran settlement and trade area of that time, he would merge together with numerous Tribal Lords, and sometimes skirmished with those who refused. The skirmishing tribes would always lose against the the Rangers, making the Rangers seem unbeatable, and encouranged more tribes to join them. Shortly after, many Alsaran locals founded the River Port of Alasaida to transport goods across the sea, albeit with an exit tax set up by the Ioneans.
