The Anti-Tyrannical League, often shortened to ATL was a partnership of the 4th Viscount of Nieuwheim, 8th Duke of Epelirthines, and the Viscount of Kampret that raised an army of roughly 3,450 militia and confronted the Army of Empherias in the Battle of Gateshullenaude in November 1932. Following their failure, Nieuwheim was executed while the other two fled, effectively dissolving the league.

Eduardine Bykat the 3rd Viscount of Nieuwheim and Diodiér Hines the 7th Duke of Epelirthines were two generic nobles who were summoned to give opinions of the drafting of a new bill in the Council of the Five to settle disputes on it's wording. Eventually, the two decided to write an entire codified constitution to replace many several bills and presented the document to Louis III upon it's completion on 5 January 1932. Unhappy with it's contents, Louis III issued both lords a death warrant and they were executed along with many other political enemies on the Day of Damnation, 4 March 1932.

The immediate successors to the two executed lords' estates were Elliot James Bykat the 4th Viscount of Nieuwheim and Mikael Hines the 8th Duke of Epelirthines. They had been acquaintances in the past and wanted revenge against the new Rijkse, who only took the throne the previous year. The Viscount Nieuwheim had been very friendly with the Rijkse's brother, David, who had been made the Prins of Nieuwheim and thus had visited the area often and owned a palace within it. The two new lords plotted a military coup to install David as the new Rijkse as revenge for the death of their fathers, and to end the tyranny of Louis III. The third member of the trio was Alexander Pritchett-Simone, the Viscount of Kampret. He was less concerned about the constitution or revenge but agreed to join after being promised a lot of money, and because he had secret interests in Koresa - his mother's home country. He believed that installing David as the rijkse would spread chaos and allow for Koresa to begin a full scale invasion with ease.

Following the defeats of the battle, the Viscount Nieuwheim was captured and executed on 1 February 1933. the Duke of Epelirthines fled to Norsair, while the Viscount Kampret fled to Koresa. All three's estates were seized by the government causing their respective lordships to go extinct.
