Evergreen period of Empherias

The Evergreen period, also known as the Campbellian period was the era of Empherias history between 2271 and 2395. The period began in 2271 following the election of the first Campbellite Evergreen prime minister Maria Alexandria, ending the Alamekean period. The period came to an end because of the 2395 Revolution of Empherias, beginning the Revolutionary period of Empherias.

Having been nominated her successor by the cabinet, Isaac Campbell became prime minister upon Alexandria's resignation on 8 July 2278.

Campbell won the 2289 general election

Campbell lost the 2290 general election to Paige West Coleman, Conservative prime minister.

Campbell won the 2292 general election; Peter Bowes is Lord of the Treasury

Campbell won the 2294 general election. Edgard Merigold joins the government, previously being a civil servant. Merigold is appointed Financial Adviser in 2298.

Campbell won the 2299 general election. Merigold is appointed Chief Financial Adviser in 2299. Merigold replaces Peter Bowes as Lord of the Treasury in 2300.

Campbell resigns as Prime Minister, giving the role to his hand-selected successor Edgard Merigold.

Merigold won the 2302 general election, called to consolidate new power and confidence.

Merigold opens Merigold Street

Merigold resigns as Prime Minister on 8 September 2304 finding the job stressful and moved away from the capital.

Following Merigold's resignation, Campbell returned as PM in 2304

Campbell lost the 2311 general election to James B. Sterling, Conservative prime minister

Campbell won the 2316 general election

Merigold is reappointed Lord of the Treasury in 13 March 2319 after a long 15 year gap from politics.

Campbell won the 2320 general election

Campbell resigns as Prime Minister on 12 March 2321, giving the role to his hand-selected successor Spencer Young. He had been mentored for a few years now. Campbell remained chairman of the party and a large tutor to Young.

Merigold becomes Chancellor of the Exchequer immediately after,

His time in office was marred in scandal and controversy as his political opponents exaggerated the clumsiness and forgetfulness of Young. He eventually got infected with influenza and resigned the role on 19 August 2324, giving the role back to Campbell. Following Young's resignation, Campbell returned as PM in 19 August 2324.

Young becomes DPM from 2324 and stayed within public eye. He joins and promotes the Mellow Evergreens and promote far-left liberalism as the rest of the party slowly moved right.

Chancellor Merigold retires on 4 January 2334, Young becomes Chancellor

Campbell lost the 2335 general election and resigns as Prime Minister on 27 September 2335. Campbell dies on 12 September 2344.

Conservatives win the 2335 general election

Dissolution of the Evergreens at some point.

Young is a founding member of the Liberals growing out of the Mellow Evergreens

Rusbridge (Liberals) win the 2338 general election.

Merigold is outspoken in support for the Liberals in the 2338 general election, noting in an interview in 2344 that he "regretted deeply not being a part of the Liberal movement which now so dominates the political landscape".

Young was appointed on 27 September 2338 to Rusbridge's cabinet on her electoral victory in the election to Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Office, However he became the Deputy Prime Minister once again on 8 January 2339.

Young shot in a duel in 2348 after a speech by fellow Liberal member who thought Young was tainting the party by being too progressive.

Merigold advocated for Rusbridge's re-election bid in the 2353 General Election. In 2355, he founded the Merigold's company, which was to be based on Merigold Street - which he had helped found whilst Prime Minister.
