General Trivia[edit | edit source]

The Ceironian Union, generally referred to as Ceironia or Horyuxia, is a nation presiding in Acoria as its largest nation by area. At over 15 million square kilometers, Ceironia is an extremely vast nation. It easily is larger then any nation in acoria and alaxia, and is only smaller then Ciyuga.

History[edit | edit source]

Ceironia was founded thousands of years ago in the Latango Peninsula. At the time, it was simply known as the Latango Kingdom, but as civil conflict died down, the new generation of this kingdom began to look to the coasts of what would in the future be known as simply "Ceironia." Her great voyagers and cartographers scoured to the north, discovering arid mountains, to the east, discovering a large steppe and desert just north of that, and to the south, lush grasslands and woodland. Her citizens began to expand, rapidly encompassing the eastern coast of modern-day Ceironia. Not yet to the Estyan Peninsula, or Eglyia for that matter. Many battles laid ahead before those lands were conquered.

At this time, a new national identity was sought - the initial centuries of Latango were over. It was time for a new name, a national identity. Something representing all figures in this rapidly expanding empire. Ceironia, it was designated. The first Imperium Ceironium was born. Her voyages and expansion continued. Islands in the south were conquered and her voyagers ventured deeper inland for the great, new nation of Ceironia. However, as she rapidly encompassed new territories, major issues arose....

The First Civil War [269 - 275 XY][edit | edit source]

Territories involved in the First Ceironian Civil War.

The first civil war began when a general who despised the current administration of the Imperium Ceironium took his men to the south, his homeland, where he launched his attack. His name was Zexaria, he formed the Imperium Zexarium under his name. At the same time, the Luponian Revolution in the northeast also occured. It was up to the current Emperor of the Imperium Ceironium to calculate and prepare a strategy. That he did. It was simple. Swing north, knock out Luponia then south, and meet Zexaria in a head on battle. This plan was put into jeopardy when Luponia simply retreated away and slipped into Zexaria, supporting the local forces. The playing field was even, as Zexarias March began towards Latango

Zexaria set off with a massive force of 300,000 men. His intention? Burn Latango to but a crisp. He began his march northwest, before encountering the first scouts of Ceironia. After several recon groups did their mission, the Ceironians halted infront of Zexaria and fortified. Zexaria was forced to push, as stopping here, this far into Ceironian territory, would kill the campaign. His offensive ended terribly as Ceironia had done a great job at reconning the Zexarian positions. As they attempted to flank, Zexaria found many of his forces at risk of being cut off. He was forced to retreat, losing the flanks, and, in the end, that may have cost him the battle.

Zexaria returned with but 180,000 men, constantly being harassed by nimble Ceironian cavalrymen sabotaging him and picking off the wounded and weak. But a few months later, he surrendered, as the Ceironians launched a campaign in the south to retake the city of Oceanius from Zexaria, and in the north he was being pushed back. The first civil war was over.

The Second & Third Civil Wars [310 - 314 XY][edit | edit source]

The Second Civil war began on 310 XY after a major event in Ceironias history - the first attempted conquest of Kashini. Thousands of warriors strutted across the great interior Steppe on their way to conquer what was known as the Kashini Horde at the time, and integrate them into Ceironia. However, at the beginning of the voyage, the Imperium Ceironium was met with internal strife as the highly influential Lord Adius raised a sufficiently large army several hundred thousand in strength. The Imperium Ceironium was forced to recall its forces after repelling the Kashini horde away from the inland of Ceironia, its men made the long march back. Thousands perished in the march back home. From starvation, to dehydration, to Kashini raids.

The homeland raised thousands more to fend off the Southern Imperium lead by Lord Adius. These men were tired of war but were simply left no choice. They were trained as quickly as possible and sent to an army group in the south, about 380,000 vs 250,000. This outnumber advantage meant Adius had to be very strategic in his actions as the Ceironians held much more in terms of manpower and in reserves in the primary army. Adius would begin marching north, crossing a river just north of modern day Brordgrad. Adius began to use his cavalry to scout the Ceironian position and used his smaller army to hook north and away from the Ceironians. However, as more reserves showed up Adius found himself cornered and unable to advance.

Adius made the decision to attack an isolated segment of the Ceironian army - quickly crossing a river at the crack of night and attacking in morning when the Ceironians were just awakening. Their morale was low and the Ceironians were quickly pushed back by Adius's morally superior and more mobile task force. Due to this the Ceironians began to rapidly consolidate and prepare a counteroffensive. While this is happening, a separate small ceironian force crossed the river south of Adius and moved to rapidly flank him. The larger task force moved to engage, in a bid to distract Adius. The attack began and was quickly devastating for both sides. The fortified Adius troops against numerically superior Ceironians resulted in nearly ~50,000 deaths in 2 hours. Adius moved to disengage but found himself cornered. He moved north but his army was exhausted. He made the choice to surrender about 3 days after the initial crossing into Ceironia, with nearly 150,000 losses taken and about 180,000 inflicted. However, this was not the end.

Progress indicated in second civil war, as well as northern secession movement that is associated with the third civil war.

Another lord and series of generals in the south took charge, assembling a force of about 50,000 to hopefully demoralize the Ceironians. To their luck, a northern secession movement had quickly appeared as the Ceironians began their offensive into the Southern Imperium. This movement called for the end of the endless war. The ceironians were forced to split their force in half, with 100,000 heading north and 100,000 heading south. Unfortunately, on the trek north, many deserted and starved as harvests across the nation proved inefficient for such a large, mobilized army. This left them with almost 85,000 demoralized troops for the north, and 95,000 for the south. Despite this, the Northern secession movement was brutally suppressed with 15,000 losses taken and several thousand civilians and townsfolk murdered in an act of pure brutality to keep the Imperium together.

Despite the suppression of the north, the risk of famine eventually caused the latango government to fold. Sueing for peace on 314 XY, this marked the end of both the 3rd and 2nd Ceironian civil war.

The Reclamation War [341 - 343 XY][edit | edit source]

The Reclamation War began as the northern Imperium Ceironium declared war upon the weakened Southern Ceironia, after a major volcanic event occurred, drastically weakening the south and resulting in a minor famine and thousands of deaths. Due to this, Latango sought to reclaim its lost south. The call to arms was laid out and 400,000 men were drafted and hastily trained, then marched south. These proud warriors of a new generation were eager to win glory and the praise of their townsfolk. The south, heavily affected by this famine and by the deaths of thousands, was only able to muster a fourth of the forces the Ceironians were able to.

The Ceironian Army trekked hundreds of kilometers into southern territory, liberating many villages, towns and what was going to be cities in the far future. They pushed south, to the edge of Oceanius, where they were first encountered by the southern army. The Ceironian Army was ordered to attack and a large battle ensued - several thousand on both sides were killed but the Ceironians were repulsed in the initial battle. They retreated and reorganized, before launching their second assault. This assault was far more successful, resulting in the defeat of southern forces. Demoralized, starving and pushed deep inland, the government present in Oceanius surrendered as the Ceironians inched closer. Ceironia had been re-unified.
