The Chancellor of the Exchequer, often abbreviated to the Chancellor, is a senior minister in the devolved government of Empherias, within the High Kingdoms of Alaxia. They are a chief executive of the Treasury of Empherias, and are the second highest ministerial position - third if the role of Deputy Prime Minister is occupied.
The position is responsible for all economic and financial matters, and is simultaneously the Second Lord of the Treasury. They work in conjunction with the First Lord of the Treasury, and five other financial advisers appointed by themselves or the Prime Minister. They must be a member of the House of Parliament.
