The Hatunllaqta of Cian Cian

Cian Cian (Qusqi: cncn) is the most populous city in the Vamu. With a 2500 population of 1,254,322 spread over 62.4km2, Cian Cian is also the most densely populated city in the Vamu. Located in the middle of the Awyu Plateau, the city is the centre of the Cian Cian metropolitan area. Cian Cian was the former capital of the erstwhile Chan-cha kingdom and later empire. It has always been the centre of the Chan-cha culture, from the days of the Early Classical Period when the Qulla Range held host to many city-states, to the peak of the Suy Chanco, the Empire of the Chan-cha that dominated the Kakanqui, Chupa and western Uhuwara regions. Over two thousand years old, the city of Cian Cian is also home to many ancient ruins. The old city, known as Acu-Cian Cian, is a large complex of buildings that range in age from millenia to a few centuries old. It is often called the 'second capital' of the Vamu for its cultural and demographic value. Also called Amarumarka (Qusqi: mrmrk, lit. 'Snake City'), from the myth that the city was first built in the shape of a snake readied to strike.
