The [[United and Indivisible Council of the Seven Honoured Clans of Skuria]], commonly known as just the Council of Skuria is the governing body of Skuria. It is comprised of the seven Rodnji. Each of the Rodnji is the head of one of the seven Honoured Clans of Skuria, the immensely rich and powerful families ruling the nation. Each year the council elects the head of the council and thus the Head of State of Skuria, the Stjir Rodnji, who represents the nation in diplomacy and has the final say on any decisions made by the council. The current Stjir Rodnji is [[Alesjius Sktariji Stjirsktar]], the elderly and respected head of the Sktari clan, who is currently serving his fifth consecutive term as Stjir Rodnji. Under the council there are two branches of the government itself - the [[High Court]], the highest judicial organ of the nation, and the [[High Ministry]], the executive branch of the government. Both of these organs are directly appointed and subordinate to the council.
===Internal Divisions===
Despite its name, the Council is not "united and indivisible". While they appear united to the general public, the Seven Clans often plot and conspire against each other, forming alliances and pacts. Most of these are short-lived, with the major and notable exception of the grand alliance between the Sktari and Karni clans, persisting since the Warlord Era and making these two clans the dominant force in Skurian politics. Divisions also appear between the multiple Families within each Clan, although these are much smaller in scale, with the head of the Clan cracking down on any disputes that threaten the Clan itself.

The United and Indivisible Council of the Seven Honoured Clans of Skuria (Skurian: Zjidu ji Neoderu Rod Sadvu Noru iRüdiji Skuriji), commonly referred to as the Council of Skuria (Rod Skuriji) or just Skuria, is a nation in northern Alaxia. It was formed in the early XXVth century, after the two hundred year long Skurian Warring States Period came to an end. Since the Great War it has closely cooperated with Valar and later the High Kingdoms of Alaxia, firmly standing inside their sphere of influence. The nation, true to its name, is ruled by a council of the heads of the seven Skurian "Klans", "iRüd", wealthy and influential families who once ruled parts of Skuria as independent warlords. After recent reforms by a young reformist wing within the iRüd, the government of Skuria is much less authoritarian, with a semi-independent judiciary and local elections.
