The World Institute for Science and Exploration, often shortened to WISE, is the premier international scientific organisation in Oikia. Formed originally as QISES, or the Qatesh International Society of Exploration and Science, QISE has been one of the most enduring international organizations in world history, and boasts the honour of being the oldest continually-existing international body in the world. Originally formed some time in the late 16th Century between West and Eastern Suton and several Nations in Qatesh, the organization's early history is mostly shrouded in mystery. What records do exist from that time however, tell us that the primary goal of the Society was originally to connect Qatesh Scientists and Explorers under an International congress that would finance expeditions, support universities and prominent scientists, and work towards the creation of a world map.
