Geography

Ahitereira is a relatively small country, near the northern centre of Eastern Alaxia. By land area, Ahitereira composes 2,069,217.45 km2, which makes it the 22nd largest country in the world by surface area alone. Its surface morphology is primarily dominated by low-lying grasslands, bound on the south by the River Victorian and the Triard Plateau, to the east by the Grensalbourg Volcanic Field, the River Ruralic, and to the west by the rivers Manar and Mapé. Ahitereira is also nestled inbetween the Eastern Alaxian Sea to the south and the Su-Devnik Sea to the north. The hydrology of Ahitereira is dominated in part by Lake Lagoa which is a member of the larger Lagoa Canal network. The country has a diverse collection of rivers, most prominently the River Kenton which is the largest single river in Ahitereira.

Climate

Ahitereira is dominated by a mild, humid subtropical climate throughout its lowlands and a subtropical highland climate in much of its highland regions. Summers here are hot and wet, while winters are mild, frostless and dry.

History

Kentronik Kingdom

With the fall of the Anternian Empire, Kentronik had risen as a successor state, with influence from the northern Devnik Empire, which had also collapsed, Kentronik rose as a mix of the various Anternian and Devnik ideals.

Kentronik's first years would be characterized by small changes to infrastructure and internal development, such as a higher amount of scouts and a vast road improvement, in hopes to provide bigger trade around the kingdom.

Controversial Tax Laws

The King of Kentronik, King Frezar, was seen badly by his peers, due to the vast amount of guidelines he had imposed to the before non-regulated tax collection of the nobles. These guidelines had laid out a vast ground work for the collection itself, and had increased the amount of book work in order to verify that the nobles weren't abusing the system. Another controversial change imposed at the time, was the lesser taxes imposed upon the old, the crippled and children, which before were all considered equal.

Kentronik Union

As the kingdom grew, King Frezar, would offer his hand in marriage to the Queen of Mishak, another Anternian State with Devnik Influence, a marriage which did unite the realms of Mishak and Kentronik. The purpose of the union, was according to Frezar:

There is now a need for a stronger, more unified East, which will curtail the efforts of Atomagna, in its efforts to unite the wretched lands of a former empire.

This was seen badly by the monarchy of Atomagna, which soon took the Kentronik as an enemy. This was aggravated when the Kentronik not only celebrated the marriage but also the further defense of the East in a Union.

As the union was established, it quickly established coastal protection, growing a larger and stronger fleet, constructing various harbors and ports, and establishing piracy protection services as a way to cut the growing piracy crisis. This expansion had soon caused a rise of the vast network of Kentronik Merchant Guilds, as they would also receive protections from "excessive taxation" and regulations. These merchant guilds would enable the various kentronik merchants to access international markets as well, bolstering the value of Kentronik the Eastern Sea.

Westward Expansion

Soon after the union was officialized, Frezar had ordered various meetings with his advisors and various prominent nobles, to concoct a plan to expand westward, this led to the conscription of 100k soldiers, with the gathering of various trebuchets, cavalry and vast amounts of grain, all for the purpose of annexing the lands of Grenard. This campaign was a resounding success.

With the annexation, various projects and investments came into the province, with infrastructure once again being a main focus, as roads and buildings were all reconstructed, providing a revitalization to the territory as the Kentronik merchants and trader guilds taking over the vast amount of territory. To help with the revitalization of the province, a controversial tax rebate was also provided to the citizens, which despite the short-term losses, ended up providing a better assimilation into the empire later on. The previous nobles were also forced to either swear felty to the Kentronik monarch or to be stripped of all of their property.

Later on, in a play of noble appeasement, the king would order another expansion, in which again he would conscript 100k soldiers, along with trebuchets and cavalry. This annexation would prove successful once again, but unlike the Grenardian one, the Nobles were soon stripped of their acquired lands, due to their lack of loyalty to the king.

Conquest of East Atomagna

As tensions increased between the two nations, Atomagna and Kentronik would go into war. With the Kentronik ordering a force of 180k to march towards the border. This was against all odds an absolute victory by the Kentronik. As the newly acquired lands were quickly put on the same process of assimilation put in the province of Grenard. The desecration of Atomagnese monuments was also common, as many were often sold for little to no money.

In a surprising turn of events, the Kentronik took the title that Atomagna was once trying to gather, and officially embraced the Anternian Empire title. As in noble schools the idea of what was it to be Anternian continue to be spread all over the nation, and the once Victory Celebrations, became the Anternian Celebrations.

Implementation of Custom Offices

With the increase of the vast networks of merchant guilds all over the nation, the crown employed various custom officials, in order to regulate and manage the ports. This would be the first appearance of food and beverage regulation practised by any state in East Alaxia, setting a precedent for years to come.

New Anternian / Atomagnian Empire

Soon after the end of the war, Frezar would declare Kentronik as the New Anternian Empire, leading to vast parades lead by the King to spread the new "National Movement", while in reality it would be known has a vast purge and regulatory enforcement to ensure that the various nobles, specially the recently conquered, would respect the power of the King. This such occasion lead to various protests by the Nobles in which they requested their old rights back, but they mostly failed. In a confusing turn of events, Frezar would take the name of Atomagna for the Kingdom rather than Anternia, many historians argue whether or not this was an error of translation or not, as Atomagna and Anternia were often used in interchangeable manner.

These events lead to a resurgence in literature for the Kentronik scholars, as they adopted more Atomagnian cultural pieces, such as the book Road To Loss which became synonymous with the time period.

The Official Declaration of the New Anternian Empire

The first diplomat letter confirming the declaration of the Anternian Empire was only first seen 5 years later after the National Movement had started. Frezar would declare himself the as the true Anternian Emperor, and as the story of Road to Loss became bigger and bigger, ideas of nationalism and glory came to Kentronik.

Bokanism

As Bokanism grew more and more in the recently conquered lands of Atomagna, the Emperor would eventually convert to it and would also declare the nation Bokanist. This would lead to a vast purge of non-bokanist nobles, and them being replaced with complacent ones. As the majority of the population was already Bokanist due to Fazarian influence, the Emperor's conversion into it, was seen favourably by most besides the conservative Kentronik elite.

The Emperor would also use the recent conversion to Bokanism to further centralise, and impose further taxes. This would lead to the appointing of various governors and the creation of new titles in order to ensure loyalty in the already existing nobles, with the use of bribery included.
