Sir Alexander Erka Creybourne (4 October 2418 – 11 June 2473) was an Empheri writer and producer, known for his work on the television programme Tymehuis. He was knighted for his contributions to drama on his retirement in June 2471.

Tymehuis[edit | edit source]

As a guest writer[edit | edit source]

Creybourne specialised in writing 4 part episodes for the series. He also specialised in creating new enemies and rarely used returning enemies.

Creybourne was contracted to write the third serial of the debut season of the show. Working titles included The Beginning, and The Revolution, but the final title of the serial was Fifty-seven Years Ago. The serial would air from 9 November 2452 to 30 November 2452 in 4 parts, and received average ratings of 12.6 million viewers. Since he was 34 years ago when he wrote the episode, he was helped by 70 year old novelist Mikolas Pernasz, who was 13 years old during the Revolution of Empherias, which is what the serial would document.

Creybourne did not write a serial for the second season, although he did allegedly submit an idea. He returned for the third season, again writing the third serial, in 2454. He penned The Horrors of the Rock that aired from 3 October 2454 to 24 October 2454 in 4 parts, and received average ratings of 12.9 million viewers.

Creybourne would pen Sculptures, the fifth serial of the fourth season airing in 4 parts from 6 November 2455 to 27 November 2455. It received average ratings of 14.7 million viewers.

Creybourne would co-write They Can Sense Us with newcoming writer Valena Emerald. It would be the first serial of the fifth season, airing in 4 parts from 17 March 2457 to 7 April 2457. It received average ratings of 15.6 million viewers.

Creybourne would write The Guinea Pig People, the third serial of the sixth season airing in 4 parts from 27 April 2458 to 18 May 2458. It received average ratings of 21.5 million viewers.

Creybourne would write The Taskforce, the second serial of the seventh season airing in 4 parts from 29 March 2459 to 19 April 2459. It received average ratings of 20.4 million viewers.

Creybourne would co-write The Savage One with Malvina Stoker, the third serial of the eighth season airing in 4 parts from 15 May 2460 to 5 June 2460. It received average ratings of 19.9 million viewers

Creybourne did not write a serial for the ninth season as he wanted a year off.

In the tenth season, Creybourne was contracted to write two serials for the tenth anniversary, but they were both scrapped. Instead, Creybourne would be contracted to co-write the season finale, the tenth serial, with newcomer writer Liam Fox. This would be heavily out of Creybourne's comfort zone being 6 parts instead of 4 parts, airing from 3 February 2463 to 10 March 2463, and featuring the returning villain the Exomen. It received average ratings of 23.5 million viewers. Creybourne stated later in an interview that having to scrap the two previous ideas he had, and go out of his comfort zone to write for a pre-existing enemy in a shorter span than usually affected the quality of his script, alongside having to work with a newcomer and extending a story to 6 parts which he had no experience in. He states it was his least favourite episode that he worked on personally and hates it.

Creybourne did return for the eleventh season after some debate, and would write the fifth and final serial of the season named The Criminals of Esperiy. It aired between 27 October 2463 and 17 December 2463 and received average ratings of 11.8 million viewers.

As executive producer[edit | edit source]

Tymehuis would be cancelled in 2463 but revived in 2468. Creybourne would be selected as the new executive producer owing to his longevity with the programme. However, he had little executive producing experience and looked to Emmelie-Louise Waters for guidance. Creybourne would write the first serial of the twelfth season, named The King's Collection. It aired between 7 July 2468 and 28 July 2468, in 4 parts, with average ratings of 18.7 million viewers.

Creybourne would write the first serial of the thirteenth season, named The Siege of Paxoria Outpost. This was significant as it was only his second episode to be set in space and second to be 6 parts long, the first being The Space Exomen. It aired from 6 July 2469 to 10 August 2469 and received average ratings of 19.4 million viewers.

Creybourne would co-write the fifth and penultimate serial of the fourteenth season named The Symphony of Cacophoria with script editor Lottie French. This serial would be his third to be 6 parts long airing from 25 October 2470 to 29 November 2470. It received average ratings of 22.2 million viewers. Originally, he planned not to write a serial but worked with script editor French after a writer who had been contacted dropped out of development after leaving a skeleton script idea.

After season fourteen, Alexander Creybourne decided to resign on 1 January 2471 and not take part in the production of the 15th season owing to recent poor health and having done three seasons. Lottie French also resigned at a similar time.

Creybourne would not write any more Tymehuis episodes after 2470, with The Symphony of Cacophoria serving as his final story. He last executively produced The Cosmic Salvagers.

He retired in early 2471.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Creybourne was born in Gateshaven on 4 October 2418 to a novel writer father Erik Creybourne and a baker mother Alice Parmer

He developed a chronic illness in 2470 and would die prematurely in 2473.
