Edward Hutshen Brilliarda Rarjak Broedesmore (born 5 April 2362) is an Empherian politician who served as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Empherias within the High Kingdoms of Alaxia. He was sworn in on 1 November 2433, following the resignation of previous PM Alice Rettels. He lost power when the Socialists lost the 2435 general election - his first incumbent election.

He was born as the eldest son of corrupt statesman, Gilderoy Broedes. He often volunteered in his youth and gained sympathies for the poor. When his father died in 2373, Broedesmore used a large sum of the fortune he left to give to the poor and be a philanthropist. He paid for tuition to study at the University of Roviny and he devoted his life to Socialism.

He joined the Socialist group of the Ankranks in 2384 and later joined the People's Socialist Party under Elizabeth Rose in 2405. During his time under the Ankranks, he learned a great deal about managing the economy, especially a socialist welfare economy. He served as in the opposition as Shadow Minister of Industry from 2412 until 2415, before being appointed to Financial Adviser during a cabinet reshuffle. He served this advisory position until 2420 when he was appointed as Lord of the Treasury. Alice Rettels commenced a cabinet reshuffle following the 2425 election which demoted Broedesmore again to Financial Adviser. Possibly, Rettels believed that being so old in his age, Broedesmore would reduce the trust of the people in the economy. Despite this, Broedesmore was once again placed as Lord of the Treasury in a 2431 cabinet reshuffle. Rettels appointed him as her chosen successor following her 2433 resignation.
