Em Leks Paar

Em Leks Paar (2429–2502) was an Empheri local stateswoman, councillor, and politician who served as Mayor of Nieuwbourg for 8 years between 2472 and 2480. She became a councillor at the inception of the assembly in 2456, and served as Leader of the Opposition within the Nieuwbourg Assembly for 9 years between 2463 and 2472, and for another 5 years between 2480 and 2485. Overall, she served as a councillor for 29 years. After leaving the Nieuwbourg council, she attempted to join mainstream politics, and would run unsuccessfully to become an MP in the 2487 general election. She endorsed William Turner in the 2487 Liberal leadership election. She retired from politics in 2488, and would die after years of ill health in 2502.
