== Event ==
On 15 May 2458, the Kingdom of Karkuss announced that the disputed oil fields in the Pireta Strait, formally claimed by Fazar, had been invaded. The Imperial 2nd fleet had been moved under the cover of night and received aerial support from the 1st and 2nd carrier fleets around the oil fields. The prime minister of Karkuss stated that the oil fields were permanently under control of Karkuss and the illegal occupation from the great war had finished.

=== Destruction of the Imperial Fleet ===
On 14 September 2458, the Azyeri fleet mobilised and began moving to link up with the Fazarian fleet.

On 27 September 2458, the faux battle of Pireta Strait would begin and end. The Ceironian air force would launch 1210 air-to-surface missiles while out of the range of the Karkuss navy. They knew through Fazarian espionage that the majority of Karkuss ships were retrofitted from the 2440s and lacked up to date radar technology and thus were unequipped to handle a large barrage of ASMs. They had an accuracy of almost exactly fifty percent, with over 600 missiles landing and destroying the Karkuss imperial fleet in minutes. Ceironian officials stated that the missile barrage was overkill, confidentially stating that 258 ASMs would've been enough to completely destroy the fleet and pitied the extra loss of missiles. Following this exchange, the Ceironian fleet would retreat to Fazar to refuel and restock. The fleet would be restocked by 3 October.

On 1 October 2458, the Ceironian government offered the Karkuss government to admit their defeat and surrender to Fazar. Officials would meet in Gateshaven, Empherias, near the borders of both Karkuss and the High Kingdoms of Alaxia, to discuss these terms of surrender. The first round of negotiation failed and delegations returned home by 3 October 2458. However, the Ceironian fleet did not re-engage and the Fazarian fleet was left on standby. Very small aerial fights between the two countries' air forces occurred, but no major naval battles happened, and by 13 November 2458, all fighting had ceased. A temporary ceasefire was signed on 20 November 2458.

=== Treaty of Karka ===
The treaty had been drafted through several rounds of negotiations in Querenca, Koresa, the High Kingdoms of Alaxia. The treaty was signed by all parties by 24 September 2459. The treaty stipulated

* The Kingdom of Karkuss will formally apologise for their actions concerning their illegal occupation of Fazarian oil fields.
* The Kingdom of Karkuss will withdraw and leave from the northern Fazarian oil fields, giving it back to Fazarian control. The western fields will become legally viewed as Fazarian and recognised by both parties as belonging to Fazar.
* Fazar will construct and host a naval base within the major city of Aldoria, Karkuss
* Ceironia will construct and host a naval base within the major city of Shilv, Karkuss
* Fazar will be granted lowered for all listed cities to incentivise Fazarian trade: Aldoria, Shilv, and Vestia
* Fazarian companies will invest $50 billion into the industry of Karkuss to strengthen relations and aid the nation's economic prosperity
* Karkuss will join DMSO.

== Aftermath ==
Karkuss joined DMSO. The government would announce a new naval upgrade in the May 2460 budget. It would become mandatory for every ship in the navy to be fit with a radar system and upgraded anti-air guns. The Vengeance, the prized possession of their navy, would have a new VLS system with 10 ASMs on each side of the ship. The new submarine carriers would also fit ASMs with torpedo and hanger points to be completed by 2463.
