The Tenten Handheld is a 16-bit portable video game console developed and manufactured by Solanese company Play.co. It first released in Solan in September 2492, and support was cut in June 2499. It began development in 2489 but was fast-forwarded after the relative failure of the TES Genesis, released in 2490. Retail price was $110, and was the first in the Tenten franchise of systems to have coloured displays. Squirrel Boy Handheld released as a launch title. The system sold 90 million units total (just 10 million in the first six months), and less than 2 million units worldwide in the first 3 years, facing harsh competition against Ginsukyo in all Alaxian markets, and against Fazar in all Acorian markets. But it does make small markets in these of less than 10%. The lack of boost in their sales or market share, and the huge success of the Dokudedū series in Solan, caused Play.co to cut all support in 2499 and withdraw from game console production.
