The Crystal Mines of Alasar is the second serial of the 12th season of Tymehuis. It was broadcast in four weekly parts from 4 August 2468 to 25 August 2468. It was written by Lena Keating.

It aired at 18:00 WST, 17:00 IST, 16:00 KMT, on Saturday evenings with the original Empheri dub on Etv 1 in Empherias, and on HKBC 3 in the rest of the High Kingdoms of Alaxia. Grensalbourg viewers watching on Etv would be included in general High Kingdoms viewership statistics. The following day, an Exteras dub would air at 20:00 WST, 19:00 IST, 18:00 KMT on Sunday appealing to non-Empheri speakers on HKBC 1. An Ahitereiran dub would also air at 19:00 WST, 18:00 IST, 17:00 KMT on Monday on the Ahitereiran Channel 1. The originals and dubs combined within the first three days would have a combined viewership of 19.9 million people.

The serial would be set on the planet Alasar, where the famous Alasarian crystals are being mined and exploited by the galactic-spanning Mesna Empire who are attempting to colonise the planet. The native Alasarian slaves know the ancient secrets of their crystals and are harnessing their power to create superweapons to break free of the Mesna Empire and take back their planet.
