The 2414 Empherias general election was held on 21 December 2414, to elect 600 members to the Empherias House of Parliament. It resulted in the Populist party winning re-election despite losing some seats, and still being 53 seats short of a parliamentary majority. Furthermore, it held just one more seat than the Socialist party in second place. This was the fifth election consecutively to result in a hung parliament. Henry Watford was re-elected as Prime Minister for a second term, but resigned just a week later due to failure to stabilise the country.

Background[edit | edit source]

Henry Watford called an early general election just two years into his premiership in order to secure more seats for his government to function more properly.
