The 2448 Empherias general election was held on 26 May 2448 to elect 600 members to the Empherias parliament.
The incumbent People's Socialist Party won 307 seats, a majority of 12, and an increase of 40 seats from the previous election. Katelyn Roberts was re-elected to her second term, and the PSP governed alone. The opposition Liberal party led by former prime minister Skylar Lawrence fell from 259 seats to 214 seats, a decrease of 45 seats– it was the worst result for the Liberals since 2432. Following the election, Lawrence announced she would stand down as leader of the party by the end of the parliamentary term.
The election was originally scheduled for December 2446, but the PSP–Greens coalition began to disagree with the supply and confidence Centre party by 2444 over economic policy. The Centre party withdrew their support officially by February 2445, to which the PSP–Greens tried to form a minority government with 292 seats, although they knew it'd be short lived. Katelyn Roberts announced in April that she would hold an early election in September that year, the usual times election had begun to be held, which prevented any early no confidence votes.
