Ginsukyo (Ginsukyan: ギンスキヨ), officially the Ginsukyan Union (Ginsukyan: ギンスキヨ グリン), is a country located in West Alaxia. It is bordered by Fazarian Ginsukyo and the Gateway Sea to the west, Sinkayya and Atlantia to the north, the Fazarian state of Tuzal to the south, and Jimarian Ginsukyo to the east. Nyolenri is the capital and largest city; other major cities are Ogodoshima, Nyokeni, Narono, Yohizen, and Ninamitame.

Ginsukyo has been inhabited by humans since XXXXX BXY, later representing a distinct and indigenous Turiko culture. Later migrations by the Thasselene peoples from modern-day Atlantia influenced the Turiko significantly, introducing written language. These upheavals resulted in the creation of proper city-states by ~100 BXY, and ushered in a short but violent period in Ginsukyan history. A short moment of peace due to the First Council of Nyolenri was broken by Eientei which moved to quickly unify the city-states, establishing the Gurinary of Turiko in 82 XY. After more conquests by the Gurinary, the Second Council of Nyolenri was convened, in which the Amperite of Ginsukyo was founded. It was also around this time that a rivalry was brewing between Ginsukyans and Thraxians.

Ginsukyo saw rapid territorial expansion and switched between multiple systems of government. From a Restoration of the Gurin to being partitioned and forming the First Republic, later overthrown by political radicals that established the Second Republic. The second republic would last until 1654 XY, when Ginsukyo was invaded and then partitioned into three states; Eientei, Myokeni, and Belita. The three states remained close to each other as Thrax attempted to take the Ginsukyan region multiple times, with Eientei and Myokeni even reuniting in 1896, and Belita remaining a close ally even as it refused to reunify.

After 300 years of rule by foreign powers, Ginsukyo declared Independence in 2448, first as a Dominion of the Fazarian Monarchy, then as a Republic in 2454. Shortly following this, a period of economic growth began, resulting in the increased prominence of Ginsukyo in the world stage. War began against Fazar in 2521, ultimately resulting in a defeat which split the country, with the only government set up so far being the Union government, which styles itself as the successor to the Technocratic Republic of Ginsukyo.

Under the Union government, Ginsukyo has maintained a unitary presidential republic with a bicameral legislature, the National Assembly. Ginsukyo is a developing country and a middle power, once again experiencing rapid economic growth. A global leader in the automotive, electronics and shipbuilding industries, the country has made important contributions to science and technology. The Armed Forces of the Union is the successor to the Armed Forces of Ginsukyo, and while small, it is considered highly trained.

Ginsukyo is considered a cultural superpower as the culture of Ginsukyo is well known around the world, especially thanks to its prominent animation, comics, tourism and video game industries.

Early History

One of the first modern human bones along with 42,000-year-old flutes which are the oldest musical instruments ever found were found in South Ginsukyo, in the villages of eisahira and Boshio situated on the banks of the Furo River. Nomadic pastoralism developed in the Shira–Manosa steppe beginning in the Chalcolithic. Remnants of these civilizations were discovered in places such as Eientei, Yohizen, Sakamo, and moienda, which bear the earliest known traces of horses in warfare

Ginsukyo first appears in written Legend in the thaighn Book of Shi, completed in 57 XY. Bokanism was introduced to Ginsukyo in the 14th century, but the development of Ginsukyan Bokanism was primarily influenced by Azyeri. Despite early resistance, Bokanism was promoted by the ruling class

The ancestors of modern Ginsukyans are the Thaigh tribes, whose original home is thought by some scholars to have been in the wooded areas.

Thaiqhn Gurinary

The establishment of the first Ginsukyan states in the 1st century coincided with the arrival of Thraiqhn formed the Thaiqhn Gurinary. This would the first time democracy would be practiced in the history of ginsukyo. The Party, Druz Karain would be responsible for the expansion of ginsukyo and the declaration of Ginsukyo in the 100s. In 140 XY, Amperite of Ginsukyo was Declared, Which will be the first time the term Ginsukyo will be used in politics. This bill allowed for a more centralized government. the bill also created the new office of amper, the head of the Gurin and the head of the state, essentially the de facto empire That changed every 10 years

Amperite of Ginsukyo

Later on, After the declaration of the Amperite of Ginsukyo, Dallas the first amper was assassinated by the radicals and militant faction of the kanervive party. As a result the kanervive would loose their seats and the entire gurin is now druz. The Gurin would soon elect Sakuya of the Druz as the new Amper. Despite the kanervive party loosing their seats the battle for the seat of being the amper still continues. The standstill between the Kanervive and Druz Factions had resulted in the election of Yukari Yamakuno, now Known as Her Own Amper Yukari, a compromise candidate between the 2 factions, later on she is known as Yukari "the Queen" due to her abuses of the the no term limit rule set by the constitution

The Amper would declare an emergency of the navy in order to protect the supply routes. 3 new galleys, 3 triremes and 4 biremes were built. The galley "Konpaku" known as the pride of the fleet, Contained a record number of manpower, bastilles and other important parts of a ship were built. Since they were emergency-only, the emergency ships except for the konpaku galley were destroyed and would be used to repair and build new ships to replace the beyond repair and sunk ones.

The Reign of Yukari would end from a stroke at the age of 47. as result the gurin would elect a populist and a war hero Reisen Inaba as the new amper of Ginsukyo and so on. As the next amper would be elected Yukari Sirina or Emperor Yukari II in 298. This would set up a civil war known as the Gurnist Rebellion. Some members of the gurin, as well as most officers within the army, Thought that the current emperor is abusing her power and is going against the wishes of Democracy and the gurin assembly, as the rumors and leaks exasperate many army officers would seize eientei and declare that ginsukyo must go back to a system with no leader, many other officers and soldiers would disagree, as they think yukari II has done nothing to deserve this. sparking the civil war.

The Gurinists believed that if myokeni and the other cities lose their loyalist control, the loyalists will surrender. The main gurinist army would be led by sanae kochiya, an old war hero of the great rebellions, her expertise back in thrax and sur-ui has made her a great general and one of the best in the entire Ginsukyan army. Despite this, The loyalists Weren't dry of military geniuses either however, general koichi mairi, despite her young age and her not really being in any battles, Was very intelligent in militaristic engineering, having perfected the art of sieges and defending cities from said sieges. Gurinists Planned to march south to capture myokeni, But as Koichi heard this, she taken up a defensive position on a hill with her force of 5,000 men. The Gurinist heard the hill's forces and sent up and coming deputy marisa arara with a force of 4,400 the loyalists and gurinists meet each other on the hill, marisa blocked the only passage of the hill to force koichi to surrender her forces. however, koichi, being the engineering mistress she is, used the large amount of trees and vines in the hill to build ropes and ladders to climb down a portion of her men down the hill and ambush the base of marisa behind, marisa is almost completely thrown off by this attack as her forces crumbled.

Battle of Remaba

The Vanguard of the Gurinist army would arrive on the first day along with their huge catapults, the gurinists would set up camps on the second day. General Sanae and the rest of the army arrived on the fourth day. the catapults were on place on the 5th, As they started blasting the walls of remaba. this would prove ineffective however, as the catapults were so massive they needed time to reload, the time was used by the loyalists to rebuild the walls. On the 6th day, sanae ordered her light infantry and bowmen to do an assault to the walls, but the loyalists repealed the gurinists who were led by sanae. they lost most of their catapults and equipment during the assault. the loyalists attempted assaults on the next day but it failed

as the loyalists were tricked by sanae as she retreated her calvary, allowing the loyalists to attack the infantry before the calvary returned, and flanked and encircled the loyalists, resulting in the death of the skirmish army of the loyalists. the next day, the gurinists Attempted more battering of the walls but failed. two days later, sanae ordered her light infantry to assault in the night, but the defenders were able to confuse the gurinists, resulting in the victory for loyalists

Inside the city walls of remaba are a massive minority of pro-gurinists and gurinist sympathizers who see this as their opportunity to stage a rebellion for the gurinists, their forces number a slight 6K but despite this the loyalists send some of their troops who protected the walls to fight the internal rebellion, this is a massive opportunity for the gurinists as the defense of the walls were weakened. The gates of Cirno, the main gate of the walls in remaba, was destroyed by catapults, this is also compounded by the fact that the gurinists managed to breach the defenses of the wall, however koichi herself arrived and managed to fend off the assaulters by luring them inside the city and then trapping them and killing them, so the city still holds, until the catapults destroyed a minor gate which was used. Sanae ordered a code suelve, as she ordered herself and her troops to stave an all-out assault into the city, a massive bombardment destroyed many of the secondary gates of the city, followed by wave after wave after wave of light and heavy infantries, while wave 1 was defeated the bigger second wave arrived and severely injured koichi herself, forcing her to leave the armaments and recover, causing a massive morale decrease for the loyalists. after some many months and days of endless seiges, a few hundred elite light infantry managed to enter the city, and while the defenses tried staging a last stand, they were completely caught off guard as the rebellion started succeeding more, many citizens and soldiers escaped and ran away from the city on horseback, the gurinist flag was planted on the city of remaba.

Battle of Chaso 2

Sanae and her force of 48,000 Gurinists arrived at the walled and fortified city of chaso, the 63,000 loyalists realized their situation and call for a relief force against the siege As the light cavalry in the 48K army was useless for a siege, Sanae ordered them to act as scouts to make sure that any relief force would be alerted The emperor-in-exile, Yukari II, heard of the siege and sends a small relief force while managing to break through the light cavalry, one regiment survived and alerted Sanae, Sanae, by ordering the forces she commanded to attack the relief, has now overstretched her army at this point, the besieged chaso could call for a sortie, and it could break the said siege. koichi ordered a counter offensive, ordering most of her own troops towards one section of the city of chaso, the gate of touhous she ordered her own sortie, with the support of the minor generals, ironically they didnt sortie at the moment when sanae finished her battle with the relief force, she ordered her missile troops to salvo at the Besieging forces. the gurinist forces do the same, and koichi with her infantry used the cover of the arrows to sneak and exit the city using the gate of touhous despite the success, the sortie failed to relief the siege. as the sortie forces return to the city. another plan was devised, a simultaneous strike would occur, as a large force would form at the gate of touhous again, as well as a large force at the gate of serien, and smaller forces at their gates and small gate, the gate attackers and its besiegers attacked each other very doggedly, as both sides suffered massively, eventually, the gurinists would repulse and push the loyalists back at the gate, the situation was much more serious at serien gate, as the loyalist force, this specific regiment made up of thraxian volunteers, was much bigger and more equipped than the besiegers of serien gate, at first, the thraxians fought bravely and almost managed to break the line of the gurinists. Eventually Sanae enters the city, as she along with a 100-sized contingent of women and men climbed by ladders into the gate of serien, killing the guards of the gate as they silently opened the gate for the remainder of the army to enter the city, the remainder loyalists forces were completely unaware and didn't choose to intervene, It was reported that sanae slaughtered everyone, even the men and children, on her way to try to get into the city centre, as finally a severely wounded and almost dead koichi Alerted reimu that koichi and the loyalists offered a surrender, reimu and sanae accept, as the flag of the gurinists flew over the city of chaso

Post-Civil war

After the civil war, a national rebuilding committee was created as the era of reconstruction begun, focusing first on the ruined and massacred cities of remaba and chaso, as well as repairing old buildings and building new ones. Construction of a series of walls and fortifications alongside on the thraxian border, known as the akihabara rounds In order to prepare a possible war between Thrax and Ginsukyo. Yukari was executed for high treason of unconstitutional activity.

Technocratic Era

After the Independence from the Fazarian Rule, A new republic was formed made out of Experts which will be assigned in their own roles. Ginsukyo is the very first country to be a technocracy. Industrialization and Agrarian reforms would be passed and Equality between men and women is also passed after a long decades of matriarchy. After series of reforms, Ginsukyo would boom in technological capability and Scientific Research with the first space program established in the 2450s-60s

The Electronic Industry Increased and created new jobs to the Ginsukyanes and in the 80s the game console industry increased in size creating new entertainments for the population. Ginsukyo is rated to have the best Artificial Intelligence Program, Named as the "Expert system" Currently Ginsukyo has launched 2 satellites to space with 3 satellites still being constructed to be sent to space for the In-PS Program. After Thraxia was attacked by DMSO, Unionism fell drastically in the minds of the people and soon increased the nationalistic values of the ginsukyans.

The Ginsukyan Armed Forces are divided into the Ground Forces, Navy, and Aerial Forces. There are also two independent arms of service: Space Armed Forces and the Airborne Force. As of 2477, the military had around 270,000 active-duty personnel. Additionally, there are over 100,000 reservists. Male citizens aged 18-27 can voluntary serve for the ginsukyan armed forced. women may serve in all functions of service without restriction.
