Lucy King was returned as Prime Minister, with the Socialists having 298 seats. No party won a majority of seats causing the incumbent to form a minority government despite early night results believing a small majority was possible. The Liberals returned 212 seats, an increase of a massive 188 seats from the previous provisional election. The Nationalists returned a respectable 73 seats, an increase of 8. The fringe parties saw little changes with the Conservatives, Greens (GESLP) and Centrists (DECP) returning eight, four, and two seats respectively.

The election saw a huge swing in support for the Liberals.
