Euleanism, Eulean Unionism, or Pan-Eulean Nationalism, is the Ideology throughout West Alaxian advocating the reformation of the Eulean Republic and/or Eulean Union.

History of Euleanism[edit | edit source]

The Eulean Myth[edit | edit source]

The concept of Eulea first emerged in the 24th Century, as a result of the Beletharian Wars. A Thraxian man created the idea of Eulea sometime around the year 2295, claiming that it was a long-held myth in the cultures of Atlantia, Ginsukyo, Sinkayya, and Thraxia, dating back thousands of years, and possibly into prehistory as an ancient empire. Despite no credible historical basis for these claims, the myth quickly caught on among nationalist revolutionary groups in the region, which was under Lothyran control at the time.

The First Eulean Republic[edit | edit source]

The myth soon blossomed into reality when, in 2360, the Eulean Republic was able to form under Lothyran reforms, encompassing modern-day Ginsukyo, Sinkayya, and most of Thraxia. Still heavily influenced by Lothyran, it was little more than a puppet for the vast majority of it's existence. But the ancient myth was not to last, as not long after Eulea had formed, the Ginsukyan Restoration Front had seized control of the government. This nationalist takeover soon led to conflict, as Sinkayyan and Thraxian nationalists rebelled in response, along with a number of religious extremists, soon leading to the permanent fracturing of the state. The region was later split between outside colonial powers with the end of the Beletharian Wars

Colonial Influences[edit | edit source]

With West Alaxia under the thumb of Fazar and Azyeri, the idea of Eulea once more rose to prominence as a means of jointly resisting the occupation.

The Second Eulean Union[edit | edit source]

In 2412, in the midst of the Great War, this second wave manage to succeed, public unrest saw Azyeri and Fazar create the Second Eulean Union as a semi-independent country, consisting of Ginsukyo, Thraxia, and eventually Atlantia.

However, like the Republic, the Union would go on to suffer Ginsukyan rebellion, as the Ginsukyan Led Anti-Unionist "RRG" would begin waging a war on the Eulean Union starting in 2418 and lasting all the way to 2439. Shortly after the rebels were finally defeated, Eulea would demand Fazar cede it's remaining colonial possessions in West Alaxia, a perceived to violation on the terms of independence. In response, Eulea would be invaded and annexed as a state of the Imperial Combine during the Eulean War.

Eulea would remain a state of the Combine until 2448, when the Combine was dissolved, and Atlantia, Ginsukyo, and Thrax became three independent countries.

With West Alaxia once more under the occupation of foreign powers, the Eulean movement has begun to gain steam again to a lesser extent in North and South Gelcaria.

Euleanism in Ginsukyo[edit | edit source]

Popular support for Euleanism has waxed and waned within Ginsukyo, with opposition often being the highest during the periods in which Ginsukyans actually lived under Eulean rule.

Euleanism in Hannokar and Pelegros[edit | edit source]

While there exist some historical and cultural ties between Thraxia, Hannokar and Pelegros, unification with Thraxia or Eulea has proven unpopular in the Fazarian controlled islands.

Euleanism in Jimaria[edit | edit source]

Euleanism has consistently been very unpopular within the nation of Jimaria. Despite the modern territories of Jimaria not encompassing either historical incarnation of the Eulean State, the Thraxian government long attempted to spread Euleanism into the country, as well as using Eulean ideals to justify claims over the Jimarian region of Avathraxia, a frequent point of contention between the two states.

A public poll conducted in 2515 indicated popular support for Jimaria ever joining an Eulean Union sat at less than 0.1%.

Euleanism in Tuzal[edit | edit source]

Now largely dominated by Fazarian settlers and their descendents, Euleanism is very unpopular within Tuzal. Including Tuzal in a hypothetical Eulean state has also had its detractors outside the exclave, as it was among the demands by the Eulean Union which led to the nation's annexation in the Eulean War.

Euleanism in Sinkayya[edit | edit source]

While a founding member of the First Eulean Republic, Euleanism is not very popular currently within Sinkayya.

The First Sinkajjan Republic was one of the first to break off from Eulea, followed shortly after by Thrax. Sinkajjan movements would remain receptive to Euleanism until its displacement by Yaxovism with the foundation of the Second Sinkajjan Republic.
The establishment of the Second Sinkajjan Republic would be met with immediate animosity from the later government of the First Eulean Republic,
this would result in skirmishes and culminate in the Aryešèh Uprising, where Unionists launched an uprising and were defeated by popular militias before any response by the Sinkajjan Lašgri was formed.

That event would lead to the purge of Unionism in the country and would contribute to both the allienation of Sinkajja from Unionism, as well as the country's intervention in the Eulean Campaign and the end of the First Eulean Republic.
